Aquasia has an established program of community partnerships. The Aquasia team members are actively involved in these partnership’s, which include:
Aquasia is a proud sponsor of Giant Steps, a school, college and educational centre for children and young adults with autism. Giant Steps was founded to help educate children and families experiencing autism, to alleviate associated stress and to guide in the achievement of measurable results. We are proud to support Giant Steps throughout the year on various fundraising events, including the 3-day bike ride.
Three Day Bike Ride
For the past 12 years we have participated and supported in the 3-day bike ride to raise money for children with autism who attend the Giants Steps school. Since the commencement of the event the riders and their supporters have raised over $2 million for the school. The money raised from the bike rides has enabled Giant Steps to erect three playgrounds, convert a derelict building into a library and continue to improve the services provided to students and their families. It also facilitated the establishment of a post-school program and an extension to the Early Learning Building.
Cerebral Palsy Alliance
Each year Team Aquasia participates in the 20/Twenty Challenge, our own amateur iron man. The Annual 20/Twenty Challenge is an event held to raise much needed funds for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance (formerly known as “The Spastic Centre”), an organisation that is dedicated to helping the children and their families who are affected by the disease (a permanent physical condition that affects movement). The challenge includes a 2km swim, a 3 km kayak and a 20km walk that starts at Shelley Beach with the finish line at Chinamans Beach.
Newport Junior Rugby Club
Aquasia has partnered with Newport Junior Rugby Club as a major sponsor, supporting all NJRC teams throughout the year.
As a proud sponsor we wish the Club the very best of luck in their season.
